Beacon Pines is a one-of-a-kind game
And I wish there's more like it.
You might've already seen a few toots of me swooning about a game called Beacon Pines. That's because... it's quite a special game for me.
But first...
What's Beacon Pines anyway?
Beacon Pines is a cute and creepy, narrated story-based game where you use the power of charms to rewrite your current story path. It also features a great soundtrack, beautiful visuals, furry characters and lots of love put into it.
Let the trailer speak for itself:
As it's based on the story, it doesn't have a good replay value if you still know the story.
Why do I like it - and why is it "one-of-a-kind"?
I don't play many games - mostly because not many catch me. But oh damn, Beacon Pines caught me - and it caught me hard! I played the whole game through in a few days (I think it was a weekend?), and I loved it a lot. Indie games in general have countless details that AAA games normally don't have, and I love that. They're full of love, and you can see that.
Now, why do I like Beacon Pines so much? Mostly, because it's one of the games I remember playing and enjoying every minute of it. The story is great, the soundtrack is wonderful, the art style is beautiful, and I even lost a few tears in some scenes!
I prefer shorter games that you can easily play through in a week. Games, where every screen is full of love, full of creativity. And thus, Beacon Pines is probably still one of my favorite games I've ever played. That's why I'm writing this blog post, to show the world how awesome it is! No, this is not sponsored. I'll never accept money for blog posts! This is my blog, with posts about topics that I care about. Yeah! 😎
Anyway... Beacon Pines is at the current time of writing on sale, so... if you're interested, go buy this masterpiece!
